A lure that triggers a leaping-dart motion. Owing to the keels on both sides of the body, a natural hookset quickly produces the baitfish’s sudden dart — flipping the bass’s predatory switch. This is a stickbait designed to do exactly that.

In a no-sinker setup it mimics ayu or dace fleeing upward and occasionally bursting from the surface with a leaping-dart action. For bottom-range presentations using split-shot or Carolina rigs, working it with the image of popping up from the bottom and then slipping away lets the Sakamata Shad display its strengths and consistently entice bites.
