Ryugi Double Edge

A hook named "Double-Edged Sword".
An aggressively ultra-fine shank engineered for hooking.

This hook is deliberately not intended for brute-force battles or oversized tackle (rods H-class and above, lines over 16 lb). The shank diameter is reduced to the thinnest practical size. Combined with a long taper and TC coating, the point achieves excellent penetration—so even the faintest bites, or situations where hooking force is dampened by cover or when fishing over tetrapods, are far less likely to slip off; the design helps drive the hook into the fish.

Keeping a hooked fish is the next challenge. We pursued anti-slip performance and fine-tuned the hook’s overall balance—profile, barb, and geometry—so you can work the fish to the net even if it becomes wrapped in structure and line tension is lost. It’s an intentional compromise: creating a controlled "weakness" to secure the catch.
