Description

KARASHI 80 translates the standout performance of the 59mm original into a harder-hitting, middleweight profile, extending its lethal appeal to larger targets. Built on Yuki Ito’s refined hydrodynamic know-how, the KARASHI generates explosive surface behavior with a brisk retrieve and upward rod twitches, while also delivering clean surface dog-walking, subsurface twitch-walking, and delicate I-Motion on a straight retrieve. Its broadened darting envelope and high responsiveness provoke strikes from fish that follow other lures but hesitate to commit. Able to draw even the wariest fish from inactivity into aggressive feeding, the KARASHI 80 represents a cutting-edge evolution in Japanese lure design.

Action types:

  • I-Motion – use an ultra-slow retrieve, just quick enough to hold the lure in the target depth. The vulnerable, wobbling action mimics a wounded baitfish and entices opportunistic feeders.
  • Twitching – a sharp rod twitch drives the KARASHI into darting subsurface movements, producing a nimble dash that provokes reaction strikes from followers.
  • Dog-walk – rhythmic twitches on the surface produce a silky dog-walking motion. Brief pauses let the KARASHI sink slowly, then it will surge back to the surface like a baitfish fleeing upward.
  • Bait-busting – with rapid upward twitches and a fast retrieve, the KARASHI skitters, splashes and bursts along the surface like escaping baitfish, prompting savage strikes from aggressive predators.
