At 8” and over 3oz, the MAGDRAFT is a large-profile lure engineered to produce a pronounced tail thump that transmits energy through the body and creates a subtle side-to-side head shimmy, generating strong vibrations through the water. Designed for trophy fish, the MAGDRAFT features a heavy-duty wire-through build that securely links the line eye to the hook for confident hook-sets and superior fish control.

It includes a belly slit to tuck the hook away, paired with the patented MAG-HOLD SYSTEM to lock the hook in position so the oversized treble doesn’t interfere with the lure’s natural swim. Keeping the treble snug against the body also helps conceal the hook from cautious predators.

*The MAGDRAFT is specifically tuned to combine head-shake and tail-thump actions and requires the proper retrieve speed to perform. We recommend a moderately-geared reel, for example a 5.3:1 ratio. Spend time dialing in your retrieve — the ideal pace is typically medium-slow to medium. If you crank too fast the lure will rise; too slow and it can sink or drag the tail without engaging the head section. When you’re at the right speed, you’ll feel the MAGDRAFT’s distinctive thumping through your rod tip.
