These weighted hooks excel for mounting soft plastic baits when targeting redfish, snook, and trout in very shallow water—generally 3 ft or less.

• Weight placed on the shank reduces helicoptering of the lure during retrieves, which noticeably raises hookup rates
• The corkscrew hold near the top secures the bait so it won’t slice through the plastic when a hooked fish is violently shaking, allowing more fish per bait

Size Recommendations:

• 3/0 with 1/16th oz weight: 3" to 4" (and slimmer 5") soft plastics for extremely shallow presentations
• 3/0 with 1/8th oz weight: 3" to 4" (and slim 5") soft plastics for roughly 1.5 to 3 ft of water
• 4/0 with 1/8th oz weight: 4" to 6" soft plastics for a running depth of about 1 to 3 ft

Recommended Usage:

Ideal for fishing shallow flats, flats edges, and protected bays where soft plastics are the go-to offering. Most soft plastic lures rig well on this hook.
