Shimano Arma Joint

Shimano engineered the ARMAJOINT 190SS FB to tackle the difficulty of casting a large jointed swimbait while pursuing trophy fish. Its designers used Shimano’s proprietary ARMABOOST system to cut airborne resistance and reduce the tendency for the bait to spin in flight, improving both casting distance and accuracy. During a cast the ARMABOOST mechanism releases an internal magnet, allowing the bait’s body to fold into a compact profile; upon water entry the magnet reconnects and the body unfolds to produce a smooth, lifelike swim.

• Natural S-pattern: Typically tracks in an S-shaped swim but will not flare out when paused because of the folded joint design.
• Pause and sink: The bait’s natural, slow-sinking behavior makes pauses productive for enticing strikes.
• FLASH BOOST technology: Suspended reflective foil on micro springs constantly emits flash during the retrieve — including on the pause — to imitate the fleeting shimmer of an injured baitfish.
• Purpose-built performance: Combines innovative mechanics and proven lure design to increase angler effectiveness and draw strikes from tournament-caliber bass.
