Shimano Core G9

Built in Japan from ultra-high strength IZANAS® polyethylene fiber, the CORE G9 uses a dedicated manufacturing method to cut line stretch and relay bite and structure feedback to the angler more quickly. Its 9-strand sinking construction combines an 8-carrier weave with an added high-density core, achieving a specific gravity of 1.13 to 1.27 compared with 0.98 for standard PE lines. That increased density gives precise control when working techniques like strolling, drop shots, and neko rigs in deeper water, and the sinking profile reduces line bow caused by wind and surface chop. The PE rating is based on line weight and diameter, enabling anglers to pick the exact line that optimizes casting distance, lure action, and spool capacity. Packaging shows both minimum and average pound-class strength for accurate selection without excess bulk. CORE G9 is offered in sizes from 0.6 PE to 2 PE and is available in dark mocha and pink color options.
