The ONETEN is most effective in waters from 38 to 70 degrees. In many U.S. fisheries that translates to peak use from November to April, where it performs exceptionally on points, flats, rocky banks, bluffs and over submerged grass. It also remains a top choice around boat docks during summer, so tournament anglers often carry an ONETEN year-round.

For best results fish the VISION ONETEN on 6lb. to 15lb. fluoro, with the ideal range around 10–12lb. Line diameter alters running depth — expect roughly 7 ft. on 6lb test and about 4 ft. on 15lb test.
