Combining two complementary blank-manufacturing methods and advanced blank technologies, the IMX-PRO Ice lineup is engineered to deliver class-leading performance across a wide range of hardwater situations. Seven IMX-PRO Ice models use tubular graphite blanks built around G. Loomis’ proprietary Multi-Taper Design to boost sensitivity while trimming overall weight. The Multi-Taper Design employs a series of “micro tapers” within the blank, concentrating material at potential stress points and reducing it elsewhere. The outcome is a precisely tuned selection of lengths and powers with Fast actions that find the balance between toughness and high-performance ice fishing. Tubular graphite IMX-PRO Ice rods span 33” to 41” in length and are offered in powers from Medium-Light to Medium-Heavy — ideal choices for walleye, pike, and lake trout.

In addition, five IMX-PRO Ice models are built on solid graphite blanks to maximize sensitivity. Those solid graphite rods deliver Extra-Fast action for razor-quick strike detection and confident hooksets. With Light and Medium-Light power options and lengths from 29” to 33”, these models are optimized for panfish, stocked trout, and other light-tackle ice work.

Every IMX-PRO Ice blank features a Hybrid Guide System and is fitted with ultra-light REC Recoil guides to improve line management through the hole. Solid stainless-steel tip guides add stiffness and retain consistent shape. Premium cork grips are available in both solid and split configurations, allowing anglers to shift reel placement for optimal balance and increased feel. For example, the IMX-PRO ICE 310 XF is a 31” Light power, Extra-Fast action rod that delivers outstanding sensitivity in a shelter and pairs exceptionally well with a 500-series Shimano Vanford reel. The IMX-PRO ICE 352 F is a 35” Fast-action rod in Medium power that shines for hole-hopping walleye techniques and pairs nicely with a 1000-series Shimano Ultegra. When deep-water jigs and powerful lake trout are the goal, the IMX-PRO ICE 413 F — a 41” Fast-action, Medium-Heavy rod — matched to a 2500-series Shimano Vanford provides the reach and backbone needed for demanding situations.
