Description
The ARMORPOINT Hyperlatch Quad-Urchin is engineered specifically for mounting urchin-style soft baits, using a distinctive dual-wire bait-locking mechanism. Unlike conventional rigging, this system reduces bait damage and prevents slippage or ejection during use. A pair of locking wires, aligned beneath the hook’s centerline, pass directly through the bait’s core and latch it securely in position, keeping the bait perfectly centered.
This axial anchoring stops the bait from shifting during long casts, abrupt rod movements, or violent strikes, and also helps cut down on line twist.
Built with Hyperlatch’s 1X-strong Hyper Carbon Steel (HCS) and finished in low-friction Super Slide (SS) coating, the Quad-Urchin offers quick penetration, outstanding durability, and the backbone to battle trophy-sized fish.
Axial bait locking maintains bait alignment through long-range casts, sharp twitches, and violent head shakes, giving anglers precise control over presentation when targeting suspended bass.
The center-through keeper secures softbaits with less tearing, helping anglers extend the life of premium baits and spend more time fishing with fewer re-rigs.
A true 360° quad-point arrangement encircles the bait evenly, promoting clean hook exposure from multiple strike angles while preserving a natural falling motion.
The 1X-strong HCS wire frame delivers reliable stiffness under hard hooksets and prolonged fights, offering confidence when larger fish commit.
Needle-point geometry combined with the Super Slide (SS) low-friction finish reduces penetration resistance, converting subtle taps into more effective hooksets without compromising holding power.
