The KAGE LT spinning reel, sold exclusively through independent Daiwa dealers, follows the LT Concept (Light / Tough). It pares down weight without sacrificing strength or rigidity. The chassis is molded from Zaion, a "high density" carbon strain material that is 20 percent stronger and 50 percent lighter than conventional nylon and aluminum. That true carbon body is smaller and lighter, yet forms a stiff platform for the reel’s heavy-duty gearing. Integrated Air Bail and Air Rotor designs shave approximately 15 percent of the weight while maintaining structural integrity.

Power delivery comes from precision-cut Aluminum Digigears that offer smooth, efficient performance with reduced mass. A distinctive Premium Cork Handle Knob combines a refined look with a sure grip. The ATD Drag System provides seamless, powerful resistance capable of stopping large gamefish. Offered in sizes from 1000 to 2500, the reel is well suited to a wide range of fresh water and light salt water fishing situations.
