Shimano Aldebaran BFS

Aldebaran BFS was engineered specifically for finesse fishing, pairing an ultra-light Magnesium frame with a purpose-built braking arrangement to handle the full range of Bait Finesse System (BFS) techniques. It features Shimano's Finesse Tune Brake (FTB), which shifts the braking unit from the spool to the palming side-plate to cut down spool mass. The lighter-spinning spool needs very little force to rotate, making accurate casts with very light tackle much easier. Unlike conventional magnetic brakes that apply a constant drag during the cast, Shimano's FTB takes advantage of centrifugal force so the magnets automatically increase braking only when the cast requires it. Adjustment is straightforward: fine-tune the system with the external dial or customize braking strength by adding or removing individual magnets. Casting performance is further improved by the MagnumLite (MGL) Spool III, designed to lower start-up inertia for exceptional control and pinpoint accuracy.
