The Metanium is a premium baitcasting reel near the top of Shimano’s range, built around a magnesium Core Solid frame to cut weight while increasing stiffness. It pairs that lightweight chassis with an advanced MGL spool system (MGL III) to lift casting performance across a wide variety of lure weights.
