Built from the core to excel in all hard-water conditions, the Convergence Ice spinning rods are equally at home while working tight holes in sub-zero weather or during long sessions in the hut. Angler-focused details increase enjoyment and on-ice performance. The Ultra-Light and Medium-Light models use a custom-shaped AA cork Tennessee handle and an orange hi-viz tip for superior bite detection, even on the most subtle takes. The 40MH and 42H models are fitted with a flat, custom-cut EVA rear grip to give extra leverage and forearm bracing when battling larger trophy fish. Every Convergence Ice rod is equipped with Zirconia guides; the Ultra-Light, Light and Medium-Light versions also include lightweight coil guides to reduce weight and improve casting feel. Shimano located the hook keeper slightly farther from the reel seat to create a comfortable zone for direct finger contact with the blank, enhancing sensitivity.
