Shimano developed the flagship Terez BW offshore rod series with input from tournament-winning captains to deliver top-tier performance. The lineup covers rods suited to any offshore pursuit, with specific models tailored for high-speed trolling, slow trolling, deep-dropping, swordfishing, bottom fishing and live-bait techniques. Terez BW blanks are built using Shimano’s premium technologies — Hi-Power X, Spiral X and UD Glass blank construction — providing exceptional durability and sensitivity in harsh saltwater conditions. These combined construction methods boost the rods’ structural stiffness so they hold shape under heavy loads and allow anglers to transmit power through the blank more efficiently when battling strong, fast fish. The series is fitted with high-quality components, including Winthrop, Fuji and Aftco guides, for reliable, proven performance. Slick Butt models come equipped with Fuji DPS-H reel seats, while Uni-Butt variants are offered as blade-only, giving anglers the option to fit their preferred reel seat and customize each rod to personal preference.
