Lightweight, high-performance Shimano X-Guides maximize the rod’s design, providing smooth, uncompromised casting. Casting variants employ Shimano’s Full Carbon Monocoque grip — a true full-carbon construction that boosts sensitivity and features a newly shaped handle developed from scientific study of tournament anglers’ motion and grip posture to improve ergonomics and performance. Spinning models use a Carbon Shell Grip, a hollow, ultra-light structure that transmits subtle underwater vibrations to the hand, letting anglers detect the smallest signals.
